The Scheidegger family is well known in the community for their philanthropic work. Ruth Anne Scheidegger decided about 14 years ago to devote her time to animal rescue where she joined the board of Five Acres Animal Shelter and served on the board for a total of 12 year and as board President for almost 6 1/2 years of those 12. Ruth Anne donated her time general contracting and built the Ruth Anne Scheidegger Canine Shelter as well as the Katy Favre Kitty Cottage and remodeled the existing Pralle barn building. In addition she helped raise money for the dogs and cats through events and other fundraising endeavors. She left the board in 2019, although her passion, commitment and devotion to support animals in the state Missouri never wavered. In 2020 she decided to start her own 501c3 and named it Angels for Animals Mo. She saw a need in our state particulary with small animal organizations that needed help raising money for the cause. Each year Angels for Animals Mo will choose one or more animal organization to support.
Angels for Animals Mo is a funding organization supported by events and donations. Our board and committee network with companies and individuals. We are individuals that have strong bonds with the community and encourage them to support the animals in our state.
Angels for Animals Mo is not a shelter nor rescue group. We are an organized group of individuals with a passion to help raise money for animals in the state of Missouri. When you donate to Angels for Animals Mo, your money is restricted to the needs of each organization or animal in need. In other words, the majority of the money that we raise is paid directly to veterinarians who serve the organizations or animals in need that they serve.
Angels for Animals Mo has grown into a board membership of 6 board of directors all who have a compassion for animals.
We are an active board that serves the mission of Angels for Animals Mo. We have a active committee that works hard to insure that Animore' For the Love of Animals event is a success. We are proud to be able to serve those that we celebrate each year and all of the other animals, animal organizatoins and shelters in our state.
